Bachelor in Social Work

The Institute conducts a Three years Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with a view to develop a steady pool of effective human resource with basic theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of various issues needed in the field of social work and development. The course curriculum imparts the fundamental theories of social development as well as takes due care to sensitize a prospective social worker on the basic tenets of human values and ethical developmental paradigm. The BSW course was started by the Institute in 2014. The DSW course was started by the Institute way back in 1980 and has been retained in view of its demand amongst the workers engaged in various fields of social work.

Any candidate who have passed higher secondary examination from any Board can pursue this course

Although any candidate with a bachelor's degree from any recognized university can apply for this programme, preference is given to candidates working in NGOs/Govt. departments/industry etc. The admission to the course is made through a written test followed by a personal interview. The diploma is awarded by Jayaprakash Institute of Social Change.
